The project “A train rode to Sobibor” was a unique and historical collaboration with Sobibor survivor Jules Schelvis (1921-2016). The concert is just one of the many impressive ways in which Schelvis made known to the world the atrocities that took place in Sobibor during World War II.
We are deeply grateful that Jules wanted to pass this story on to so many others with us, and hope, together with him, that they will pass it on to their children as well.
From January 7, 2021 (the 100th year of Jules Schelvis’ birth), the concert, and the teaching package developed with it, will be available and downloadable in several languages (free of charge). In this way we hope to further contribute to Jules' wish…. Lest we ever forget!
